Adjectives:- Adjectives are the words that describe
the quality of noun and pronoun.
Examples:- Beautiful, brave, brilliant, charming, fantastic,
honest, handsome, greedy, tall, short, gentle, great, intelligent, Sharp,
lonely, nervous etc.
Types of adjectives:-
1. Adjective of quality:- Which shows the quality of a person or
thing.
Examples:- 1. She is an intelligent student.
2. He is a honest man.
3. He is very clever boy.
4. She is very beautiful girl.
(i) attributive use:- Use before noun
Examples:- 1. He is a handsome boy.
2. She is very intelligent girl.
(ii) predictive use:- Use after verb
Examples:- 1. He is handsome.
2. She is intelligent.
3. He is hardworking.
2. Comparative & Superlative:-
Examples:- 1. My brother is taller than you.
2. Blue whale is the longest mammal.
3. Meera is intelligent than geeta.
(i) positive/absolute degree:- Wise, old, strong, weak etc.
(ii) comparative degree:- Wiser, older, stronger, weaker
etc.
(iii) superlative degree:- Wisest, oldest, strongest, weakest
etc.
3. Demonstrative adjectives:- To point somebody
Examples:- That person, this dog, these clothes etc.
4. Possessive adjectives:-
Examples:- My sister, your pen, my book, his car etc.
5. Interrogative adjectives:- What, which, whose etc.
Examples:- 1. What color do you like?
2. Which book do you have?
6. Indefinite adjectives:- All, another, both, each, either, most,
enough, very, few, many, more, little, several, such, any, whole, every
etc.
